Living in Africa with its abundance of wildlife and flora resulted in a life-long interest and appreciation of all forms of nature. A Diploma in Graphic Design resulted in a successful design career spanning 25 years. In 2006 Jen took the plunge to paint full time and her work has met with great success.

She won a gold medal at both the Kirstenbosch Biennale 2006 and the 2008 exhibitions of Botanical Art where her work was named 'Best on Show'. Her paintings exhibited at the USA's prestigious, Leigh Yawkey Woodson's, "Birds In Art 2008" and again in 2009, and David Shepherd's 'Wildlife Artist of the Year 2009'.
