After graduating with a degree in Botany I began my career as a wildlife cameraman. Over the past 25 years I have worked on many David Attenborough's programmes and most recently the Plants episode of the BBC Life series. I specialise in plant growing timelapse and macro filming.

My filming work enables me to observe animal behaviour in great detail getting to know my subject intimately, and to appreciate the subtleties and quality of light. For the last 5 years I have been trying to capture some of this intricacy and beauty in my paintings.
