Born in 1950 in India, immigrated to Britain in 1978, George began his career as both a lead guitarist and a painter. However, his painting attracted so much interest that he focussed on becoming a full-time artist.

A self-taught artist, he has exhibited and sold internationally and throughout the UK. He regularly contributed to the Society of Wildlife Artists (Federation of British Artists) annual exhibition, and has won the following awards: Stock Exchange Art Society Award for work of outstanding merit, the East African Wildlife Society Award, Nairobi, in support of wildlife conservation, and by Windsor Newton for a Watercolour Painting.
