Born 1957. Self taught artist with over twenty years experience as wildlife illustrator. In recent years my work has progressed to oil paintings which concentrate mostly on birds. I am particularly interested in the effects of light. The process of painting is a kind of stripping down and putting back together of the subject which results in something akin to but not a copy of the natural world. I have been a member of the Society Wildlife Artists since 2006 and regularly exhibit at their Mall Gallery show in London. Awarded British Birds 'Bird Illustrator of the Year 1999.
