Margaret Ingles is an Australian who has lived in Asia for the last two decades. In the last three years she has dedicated her time to studying and painting frogs since becoming aware of the massive extinction crisis that they face. She finds them charming and interesting subject matter because of their incredible diversity, almost comical nature and personality, as well as being fantastic metaphors for transformation and change. By placing her frogs in human settings, the direct connection between them - man as both the source of the problem and, ultimately the solution - is symbolised.
