Joanne Tarrant (born Riyadh, 1978) is a professional artist with a keen interest in wildlife and conservation. Living in the Middle East, Joanne was inspired by marine wildlife she observed whilst diving in the Red Sea, which features strongly in her paintings. Joanne studied at Cheltenham Art College and Surrey Institute of Art and Design gaining a BA(Hons). Joanne has worked with the Marine Conservation Society, Marwell International Wildlife Art Society and the Wolf Conservation Trust helping raise funds for various conservation projects, and was recently selected for the finals of the 2009 BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year competition.
