Born in Sweden in 1973, Carina currently lives in the small village of Carrbridge in Scotland's Cairngorm National Park. She graduated in 2006 with a BSc Honours in Conservation Biology from the University of Aberdeen. Carina works part-time for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds in Abernethy Forest Reserve.

Her exhibitions include the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art, Liverpool; Art and The Animal Kingdom, Bennington Center for the Arts, Vermont, USA and Summer Exhibition, McEwan Gallery, Ballater, Scotland. Commissions include Svenska Rovdjorsforeningen (The Swedish Predator Society); World Wide Fund, Sweden and Carpathain Large Carnivore Project, Romania.
